Respite Care

At Pendlebury Care Homes, we know too well the importance of short or long stay respite to both the person with dementia and their family.

By taking just a short break, families can recharge their batteries, ready to continue the important role they play every day in supporting the person with dementia. It also allows families to assess the future needs of their family member.

For all new residents we arrange a home visit initially to assess the support needs of the individual and then put together their programme of support with family input. The pre- admission assessment is an important process and if an assessment at home would prove too stressful, why not join us for lunch or afternoon tea instead ?

Whilst our packages are individually tailored, our prices remain competitive and take privately funded clients and referrals from the local authority.

"We were really anxious before Mum came to the home but we needn't have worried as she is in good hands. The staff took the time to explain everything to us, we didn't feel rushed to make a decision and we were shown round the home."
